Accomplishments of which I’m most proud

  • As Co-Founder of Do Good LA, I conceptualized and launched the go-to website for all who are interested in social entrepreneurism in greater Los Angeles. Through its web and social media presence, Do Good LA is a news source, catalyst and connector for those working to effect positive change in greater Los Angeles.

  • As Executive Director of the Library Foundation of Los Angeles, I led the organization that raises private funds to enable the Los Angeles Public Library to  provide free and easy access to information, ideas, books and technology to every individual in our city’s diverse communities.

  • As Executive Director of the Kravis Leadership Institute at Claremont McKenna College, I was the point person with launching the Kravis Prize in Leadership, an international award established by New York philanthropists Henry and Marie-Josee Kravis to recognize and reward extraordinary accomplishment in the nonprofit sector.

  • As the Founding Director and Curator of the Workman and Temple Homestead, a historic site in the San Gabriel Valley, I recruited a team to develop the museum’s curatorial and educational program. Since that time, the Homestead has become a cultural gem that has received numerous accolades.

  • As the Director of Foundation and Corporations at Scripps College, I conceptualized and raised seed funding for the Scripps College Academy, a college preparatory program for teen aged girls from underserved backgrounds. In 2010, the Academy was awarded the National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Award by First Lady Michelle Obama.
